Where are you living now / where are you from: We currently live in Victoria, BC.
Timeframe for a move: We are looking to start spending time in PV Nov-Dec. of 2013 and then again in Feb. 2014 to learn our way around. Our planned semi retirement date is mid 2014, but full retirement may take a few years longer.
Where else are you considering: Palm Springs and Phoenix
Why Vallarta: We have lived on the ocean for 25 years and that is hard to give up. We are active/fanatic tennis players and PV has some good tennis facilities and some very active tennis clubs we understand. We have spent time in Mexico and enjoy the colour, culture, and laid back attitude there. Sailing and scuba diving are also activities we enjoy. Although Palm Springs and Phoenix are good options for us on the tennis front, the weather there is usually not too great in Dec. & Jan. when we can travel now, and the medical costs are huge in the US.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: We are looking to rent a place this fall for about three weeks, if anyone has some contacts. Also, we would love to hear form anyone who is active in the tennis community.
