Where did you live previously?  I am from Northern California, but have lived in Mexico & Columbia for several years- it’s the Latin in me¡¡¡¡

When did you move to Vallarta? 2005

What part of town do you live? Rio Cuale

Why did you decide to move?  I prefer the Latin culture  and Columbia, South America is too far from family in Southern California

What was the main reason(s) you moved here?  Excellent health care, easy access to SFO

Why Vallarta?   Access- I have been coming to PV since the mid 1960s

Top 3 things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now?

• ¡¡¡¡¡ This is not the US or Canada!  Learn the customs, learn the language.  Once cannot compare Mexico to the US or Canada.  This is a different culture which should be recognized and appreciated¡¡¡¡¡
• Don’t expect things to be done they way they are somewhere else¡¡¡¡¡   If you can’t find find something here, bring it with you or do without¡¡¡
• Rent before you buy.  Chances are that you may decide you don’t want to live where you thought you did¡¡¡¡      A car generally isn’t necessary when you first move here- discover your neighborhood, busses and taxis then make your decision.
