Why Vallarta: Beautiful, near the ocean, beaches. Love the food, people and culture. I am interested in learning more. I have been told that there are many Canadians and folks from the US who are there and language would not be a major barrier. The cost of living seems very reasonable and places are furnished.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: I would like some information regarding the pros and cons of living there from people who have already experienced it. Also, any helpful hints would be appreciated.

I bought last year here and am single as well. I live in Nuevo Vallarta in Banderas Bay area. It is very safe there since it is in the resort area and closely monitored. We have lots of restaurants and a beautiful beach and marina. This is the first year I will spend 3 months there. I am not sorry I did this in the least.
