Hola Rob: I am planning to move to PV and have found taking people hiking has been very rewarding as well as helping with animals at the shelter which is very meaningful to me. There are spay/neuter clinics that need assistance as well. Also visiting the orphanage (once hiring a beach singer to go and sing for the children which they loved.) and just going to visit an play!! I have found there are lots of fun and meaningful things to do in PV!!!!!

Rob, what are some of your interests. We have lived here full time for 12 years. I am a retired CHP officer from Northern California. There are many gringo related activities and you will never be bored. We have friends that visit us from Mill Creek, WA every year and this year we will be going to visit them on our furlough. We are volunteer missionaries and teach English at a local orphanage, a Social Services Boys home and a fishing village high school. I am always looking for volunteers to help us teach one hour a day Monday, Tuesday and Friday 11 am to 12 pm. You will also meet other gringo volunteers.

A good place to also meet many locals is our nondenominational church where we have many full time and part time gringo’s from all the states and Canada. Our Sunday service is at 10:30 am located in the Stages ACT ll Theater corner of Basilo Badillo and Hwy 200 upstairs.

Don’t know if you are a veteran but if you are we have a very active American Legion Post #14 here where I am a Chaplain for the group. We do many community outreaches.

I can be reached at fstphoen@juno.com or Dennis@hiswillhiswayministriespv@gmail.com or home Ph # 113-0205/ or MagicJack 707-225-6451 or my local cell 322-182-0129. It is safer here than in the states. God bless.

I’ve been reading and have seen all couples on this site…then you came along and I was hopeful there may be other singles coming to stay as well. Happy to see you!

Hello Rob, I too moved here on my own this past May. I chose Mismaloya and was warned by my realtor that I might be isolated. Quite the contrary, I’ve made many friends and am happy I chose Puerto Vallarta.

You’ve probably discovered by now that everyone has something to contribute and are very charming and welcoming people.
If you’d like to meet for coffee or tea, or speak on the phone, please get in touch. 228 0256 or burdsivu@gmail.com.

All the best to you on your adventure in Mexico!

        Hi Christine,
The snowbirds are beginning to arrive and Puerto Vallarta will be quite active in the coming winter months. I thought I’d try living here year round and am enjoying my new friends, dinners out, the farmers markets, and travels to surrounding areas.

You are very welcome to give me a call or meet when you’re here.

        Best regards, and Safe Travels,

Hi Rob – from another couple from the Seattle area (not far from Mill Creek), congratulations on the decision to live in PV. How cool for you. We are considering doing the same so we’ll check back often to see how things are going for you. Cheers!
